The newest trailer for Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge was released yesterday and gives a preview of Scorpion fighting a Lin Kuei warrior. Scorpion uses his famous chains and teleportation moves from the games, honoring his pedigree. The previous trailer released showed off dialogue by the Earthrealm warriors, but the newest trailer displays fighting that every Mortal Kombat fan wants to see.

Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge is an animated film that will follow Scorpion in his quest to track down Sub-Zero in a bitter rivalry. The movie is packed with the Mortal Kombat roster with amazing voice actors, such as Joel McHale and Patrick Seitz. Mortal Kombat Legends will go straight to digital and Blu-Ray, but some were confused by the release date listed on the newest trailer.

The official release date is listed as April 12th for digital, yet some of the trailers have April 14th listed at the end. In the trailer description on YouTube also claims an April 12th release, but the actual video says otherwise. The release date was clarified on Twitter as being April 14th, which apparently was an unannounced delay.

Johnny Cage Liu Kang and Sonya Blade

Even though the delay is only two days, it raises questions on why the movie would need the delay, or if the dates were possibly mixed up. Many movies and shows are receiving delays because of COVID-19, and the Mortal Kombat reboot movie is among them. Hopefully, an official announcement is made about the release date and it is not extended even further.

Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge releases on digital on April 14th and Blu-Ray on April 28th.
