Since its launch, Mortal Kombat 11 has enjoyed mostly positive reviews, but the game has been criticized for a few things. One common complaint is that its progression system isn't very rewarding, and another has been aimed at Ronda Rousey, whose performance as Sonya Blade has been widely criticized online.

Rousey, who does have some acting experience in blockbuster films, has been criticized by a number of Mortal Kombat 11 fans on social media and by professional reviewers. The general consensus seems to be that Rousey does a bad job as a Mortal Kombat 11 voice actor, with some even saying that she is "Jill Sandwich level bad" in the game. Others have even compared Rousey's Mortal Kombat 11 voice acting performance to the notoriously bad acting of Tommy Wiseau of The Room fame.

It's unfortunate for Rousey that her run as a Mortal Kombat 11 voice actor has been so poorly received by critics and the community. While there are certainly some out there who may have liked Rousey's performance as Sonya Blade, it definitely seems as though most fans, at least those commenting about it online, weren't impressed, to say the least.

While NetherRealm hasn't commented on the criticism of Rousey's performance as a Mortal Kombat 11 voice actor just yet, there's a chance this may make the studio think twice about using celebrities in future games. Then again, the decision to bring Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa back as Shang Tsung has been widely praise, so maybe it's just a matter of finding a celebrity with more acting and voice acting experience.

Rousey also hasn't commented on the criticism of her Mortal Kombat 11 voice acting, and from what we can tell, she hasn't been active on social media for a few days. Rousey herself is an avid video gamer, and even though her performance isn't being well-received, hopefully the chance to portray an iconic video game character like Sonya Blade in Mortal Kombat 11 is still something she can look back on fondly.

Mortal Kombat 11 is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
