Shortly after the launch of Mortal Kombat 11, professional fighting game player SonicFox released his tier list naming the best fighters in the game. At the time, SonicFox's tier list was short, naming Geras, Sonya Blade, and Erron Black as the top three fighters in MK11. Now, after having competed in the Combo Breaker 2019 tournament, SonicFox has released an updated Mortal Kombat 11 tier list, ranking the fighters in categories from S tier to B tier.

The new Mortal Kombat 11 tier list from SonicFox has some familiar faces in the S category. He names Sonya Blade as the most viable fighter in the game, followed by her daughter Cassie Cage, Jacqui Briggs, Erron Black, and Kabal. Geras has been demoted to S- tier, and is joined by Baraka, Skarlet, and Mortal Kombat series mainstay Scorpion.

As for the weaker characters in the game, SonicFox's Mortal Kombat 11 tier list has Frost and Kano in the A- tier, whereas The Kollector is in the B tier. SonicFox didn't rank any characters C rank or lower, which are characters that he would consider unviable for Mortal Kombat 11 competitive play.

In the future, it's quite likely that SonicFox's Mortal Kombat 11 tier list will change quite a bit. After all, NetherRealm is continuing to support Mortal Kombat 11 with patches and updates that may nerf or buff certain characters in the game as needed. Furthermore, the studio is also adding DLC characters that could potentially shake things up quite a bit.

It was recently confirmed that Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack 1 is adding Nightwolf, Sindel, and Spawn to the game, along with the previously announced Shang Tsung. At this point, it's too early to say exactly how these Mortal Kombat 11 DLC characters will impact the game, but we will find out once Shang Tsung is added to Mortal Kombat 11 on June 18.

Besides the already-announced DLC characters, Mortal Kombat 11 will be adding more DLC fighters to the game as well, with two more guest fighters set for Kombat Pack 1 alone. Once these characters are added to the mix, it will be interesting to see how SonicFox's Mortal Kombat 11 tier list is impacted.

Mortal Kombat 11 is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
