Mortal Kombat 11's next DLC character is the T-800 Terminator, who will be making his debut in the popular fighting game on October 8 for Kombat Pack owners, and October 15 for everyone else. However, fans have discovered Terminator in Mortal Kombat 11 a bit early, and while he's not actually playable, they can still see some of his moves in action.
After downloading the latest update for Mortal Kombat 11, fans can get their hands on a Terminator konsumable in the game. For the uninitiated, a character konsumable in Mortal Kombat essentially allows players to call in a character to assist them in fights when taking on NPCs. Like other konsumables, the Terminator konsumable summons the T-800 to fight for players for a brief period of time.
When using the Terminator Konsumable in Mortal Kombat 11, players can see four of his attacks at work. However, NetherRealm has since released a substantial Mortal Kombat 11 Terminator gameplay trailer that offers a much more detailed look at the character and gives fans a much better idea of what to expect from him next week.
The Mortal Kombat 11 Terminator gameplay trailer shows the Dark Fate version of the T-800 take on characters like Jax, Kano, and Scorpion. It also reveals that when he's defeated, he sheds the human skin covering his cyborg body, which is an unnerving and neat callback to the Terminator film series.
The Mortal Kombat 11 Terminator gameplay trailer also reveals one of the character's fatalities. As it turns out, the Terminator fatality is another reference to the films, as the Terminator sends his opponent to the war-torn future that has been ravaged by the machines. It's there where his opponent, legless from getting their knees blasted away by a shotgun, is finally put down by another cyborg.
Some aspects of The Terminator, like his other fatality, are still being kept underwraps. However, all should be revealed once October 8 rolls around and Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack owners can download and try the T-800 out for themselves.
Mortal Kombat 11 is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with a Stadia version also in development.
