The Mortal Kombat 11 community is an extremely active one, with talented fans continually sharing their best MK-inspired art, edits, and more through various outlets. Over the past several days, yet another type of fan-made Mortal Kombat 11 creation, called "tag team Fatal Blows," has emerged, and when done well, these mashups are a real treat to behold.

The premise behind Mortal Kombat 11 tag team Fatal Blows is simple, but the effect is something more. Essentially, players are looking for Fatal Blows that can transition seamlessly between one another, and they are then combining them into one unbroken act of violence. Several of these MK11 tag team Fatal Blows have been collected below, and they feature team-ups between Jax and the Terminator, Shao Khan and Sindel, and beyond.

Reddit user Shooydg is the originator of the Mortal Kombat 11 tag team Fatal Blow, and they have shared their creations on the game's official subreddit to a myriad of upvotes. Indeed, it is Shooydg's Fatal Blow selection and finesse that makes their edits something special, and while they do not directly state their inspiration, it seems that a love for Mortal Kombat 2011's tag team offering may be responsible.

Since Shooydg shared their first MK11 tag team Fatal Blow, a number of fans have looked to up the ante with edits that incorporate more than two Mortal Kombat 11 characters. For instance, Reddit user Zaclaine has shared "the Khan Fatal Blow," which sees Kotal Khan, Shao Khan, and Kitana team-up to unload on an unsuspecting Baraka. While these more complex tag team Fatal Blows succeed to varying degrees, it is fun to see the trend started by Shooydg elaborated and embellished.

Unfortunately, players that would like to see something akin to these edits in-game are likely to be a bit disappointed, as NetherRealm Studios has previously indicated that a standard tag team mode is not planned for Mortal Kombat 11. While there is a chance that the developer will reconsider this point in the future, for now players in the market for tag team action will need to make due with the offerings in the Mortal Kombat 11 Towers of Time and the excellent videos featured here.

Mortal Kombat 11 is out now for PS4, Xbox One, PC, Stadia, and Switch.
