Mortal Kombat 11 has finished releasing all of its Kombat Pack DLC characters, but that doesn't mean that the popular fighting game is done releasing new content. NetherRealm has now teased new story content for Mortal Kombat 11 with a brief teaser trailer that hints at big things for the game on May 6.

The new Mortal Kombat 11 teaser trailer picks up exactly where the MK11 story mode ends, with Liu Kang and Raiden working together to create a new timeline. The two get to work on their ambitious project, only to be interrupted by none other than Shang Tsung, the primary antagonist of the original Mortal Kombat video game and the first DLC character that was ever revealed for Mortal Kombat 11. Shang Tsung tells Liu Kang and Raiden to stop what they're doing or else they will "doom us all," perhaps hinting at a more heroic turn for the character in the new DLC.

A full reveal for the new Mortal Kombat 11 story DLC is expected to come at 6am PT on May 6. It's then when fans should be able to expect more information as to what exactly this will entail. If fans are lucky, NetherRealm may even share a release date for the new Mortal Kombat 11 story DLC, though that remains to be seen.

Something else of note in the Mortal Kombat 11 teaser trailer is the fact that Shang Tsung is not alone. He is flanked by two other Mortal Kombat characters, and while hardcore fans may be able to figure out who they are based on their silhouettes, their identities have yet to be revealed in an official capacity. It's possible these are characters that already exist in Mortal Kombat 11, but it's also possible that these are new DLC characters that are in the works for the game.

While Mortal Kombat 11 story DLC hasn't really been hinted at much, many fans have been anticipating a Kombat Pack 2 for the game. Datamining efforts and other leaks have suggested that a Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack 2 is indeed on the way, so it wouldn't be all that surprising to see such a thing revealed alongside the new story DLC on May 6. However, that's just speculation at this time, and fans should keep their expectations in check.

Mortal Kombat 11 is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One.
