Thanks to a recent leak, Mortal Kombat 11 players looking forward to Spawn can now know exactly when they can expect to play as the new character. Unfortunately, they still have a bit longer to wait.

NetherRealm, the developer behind Mortal Kombat 11, plans to announce the rest of the game's Kombat Pack DLC roster tomorrow, but thanks to a mishap with a YouTube countdown, fans pulled the upcoming roster early and posted an image of it on Reddit. The leak reveals all of the new upcoming characters with their release date, including when Spawn will make his way into the game.

Players have known about the inclusion of the character for a long time. Spawn creator Todd McFarlane teased the character's inclusion in Mortal Kombat 11 all of the way back in December. Since the game came out in April, fans have eagerly awaited information about when they can get their hands on the character. Now, they have a date.

Spawn will be the final DLC character added to the roster and will show up on March 17, 2020, over a full year after Mortal Kombat 11's release. No details have emerged yet about the character's official move set in the game, but hopefully NetherRealm will offer a hint in the trailer tomorrow. Spawn comes from Image Comics and became popular in the early 90s as an antihero with ties to the devil. He has recently made a comeback as a character and should slot in well with the Mortal Kombat roster.

Spawn creator Todd McFarlane has an ongoing connection to the Mortal Kombat franchise. The artist has become known for creating a long-running line of action figures that feature some of his designs. That line features an upcoming partnership with Mortal Kombat. Fans can pre-order McFarlane's Sub Zero and Scorpion, with even more on the way.

Fans curious about the rest of the upcoming DLC fighters for Mortal Kombat 11 no longer have to wait for the reveal trailer. Thanks to the leak, every single Mortal Kombat 11 DLC character has been revealed, and will see releases over the next few months. Fans can look forward to some fun new characters to try out, including the previously announced Sindel, and two other non-Mortal Kombat franchise characters.

Fans of Mortal Kombat 11 likely don't need to take this information with a grain of salt. The leak comes straight from the official YouTube channel for the game. Now that players know exactly how long they must wait for Spawn, they have plenty of time to brush up on the character's history before his reveal.

Mortal Kombat 11 is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
