There's less than a week left before Sindel joins the chaos of Mortal Kombat 11. In the lead up to her release, NetherRealm has teased the character, with the most recent reveal being a gory action-packed trailer that depicts Sindel doing what she does best: screaming at people. At present, however, Mortal Kombat 11 has gifted the community a clip showing off the special intro-dialogue between Sindel and Shao Kahn.

For those who don't know, a special intro-dialogue happens in Mortal Kombat 11 between two characters who have a history together. In this instance, Shao Khan happens to be Sindel's tyrannical husband.

Despite his flaws, however, Sindel seems to love him -- at least she loves his strength and power, a statement she makes when the two of them meet in Kotal's Koliseum at the start of the clip. In response to this, Kahn tells Sindel to come closer. He'll show her "both." To end the clip, Sindel threatens him, saying that he better. The tweet released alongside this clip captures it perfectly, "Strength and power, the perfect way to win Sindel’s heart."

Sindel and Shao Kahn's relationship wasn't always like this. In fact, it was very much the opposite before Sindel's controversial retcon back in Mortal Kombat (2011). Originally, Sindel hated Kahn. He entered Sindel's realm and laid siege to her home, killing her first husband in the process. Afterward, Kahn took Sindel's daughter, Kitana, for his own, and Sindel killed herself in an attempt to protect her. Her current backstory paints a different picture, however. Now, when Kahn invades Sindel's home, she willingly joins him, betraying everyone around her so that she can have the power that comes with being the wife of a winner.

Most of the latest teases for Sindel show her with a ghost fighting by her side, which is a power she's never had in any previous Mortal Kombat games. Because Sindel's retcon flipped her character so drastically, some fans believe that this ghost is possessing her and is the reason behind her new power-hungry personality. Others believe that the ghost may be something that Sindel acquired when she came back as a revenant and is power she's only revealing now. Whatever this ghost is, fans shouldn't have long to wait to find out. Sidel will be receiving a Kombat Kast tomorrow on Nether Realm's official Twitch channel. Even if that doesn't reveal any new information on the ghost, there are only six days left until Sindel's official release.

Mortal Kombat 11 is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One.
