At the end of May, NetherRealm Studios confirmed that Nightwolf, Sindel, and Spawn would all be coming to Mortal Kombat 11 in the future as DLC characters. Since this announcement, the first Mortal Kombat 11 DLC character, Shang Tsung, has been added to the game, and fans have been excitedly awaiting more details on these three additional fighters. Now, such a detail has come, as the first render of Mortal Kombat 11's Sindel has been revealed.

Shared by Mortal Kombat 11 director, and series co-creator, Ed Boon, via his official Twitter account, fans now have their first look at how Sindel will be depicted in NetherRealm Studios' newest fighting game. Notably, this first Sindel render shows the fighter as a Revenant, and it seems that fans will need to wait a bit longer to catch a glimpse of her other cosmetic options, which may come as a slight disappointment to some.

For the uninitiated, Sindel was first introduced, in 1995's Mortal Kombat 3, as the wife of Shao Khan and the mother of Kitana, characters that are both included in Mortal Kombat 11. Since her debut, Sindel has made appearances in many Mortal Kombat games, though not always as a playable character, and she is even featured in Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, a Mortal Kombat movie from 1997.

With respect to the Mortal Kombat 11 Sindel release date, there is not one currently available. Indeed, the MK11 DLC characters reveal trailer that confirmed Sindel has led some to believe that Nightwolf will be the next fighter added to the game, due to the order that the characters are listed in, which may mean that the MK11 Sindel is still a ways off. That said, the reveal of the first Sindel render may, at least, tide over fans for a little bit longer.

Prior to the game's release, an MK 11 DLC leak indicated that Sindel would indeed be one of the Mortal Kombat 11 DLC fighters, and this leak also accurately stated that Nightwolf and Spawn would be coming to the game as well. While time will tell if the full extent of this Mortal Kombat 11 DLC leak will prove accurate, now that a few characters have been officially confirmed, it is looking quite likely that the Joker, Terminator, and more are headed to MK11.

Mortal Kombat 11 is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with a Stadia version in development.
