Mortal Kombat 11 was announced less than a week ago, and new details about NetherRealm's latest fighting game haven't stopped coming since. Now, a recent retail listing for the game's Premium Edition features several new details about the fighting game, including the reveal of a six-character DLC Kombat Pack and the first in-game render of pre-order bonus fighter Shao Kahn.

Coming straight from GameStop Italy, the Premium Edition for Mortal Kombat 11 is confirmed to feature a Steelcase as well as the game's Kombat Pass. Pricing looks to be above $100, but regional conversions may have bumped the price higher than it will necessarily be in North America.

Of particular interest to prospective Mortal Kombat 11 buyers is the Kombat Pass. According to the listing, the Kombat Pass will not only include six new DLC characters, but also will feature six "Battlepasses." If the translation is correct, that could mean that Mortal Kombat 11 will implement a seasonal battle pass system akin to Fortnite and other competitive multiplayer games, with a new DLC character each season.

On top of revealing details about the Mortal Kombat 11 Premium Edition and what's included therein, the retail listing recovers certain information about the base game that may or may not be known by prospective buyers. For example, Mortal Kombat 11 will feature a full character customization system. The listing goes on to describe that customized characters will be able to have their own customized clothes, accessories, and move sets unlike gameplay seen in previous Mortal Kombat titles.

The listing also details how Mortal Kombat 11 is built on a new game engine, including the implementation of the new GoreTech system designed to make executions more brutal than ever. With a selection of new Fatalities and the GoreTech system, Mortal Kombat 11 looks to be embracing its past and continuing to edge closer to even higher levels of violence.

One final relevant point from the listing that's worth mentioning is NetherRealm's targeting of a "strong multiplayer component" with Mortal Kombat 11. The listing describes a focus on eSports, including personalized systems, daily news, constantly updated rewards, and improved matchmaking. Past NetherRealm games have had issues with quickly fading competitive scenes, so perhaps the studio wants to make Mortal Kombat 11 last more than just a year or two in the competitive fighting eSports rotation.

Mortal Kombat 11 releases on April 23, 2019, for the Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
