As part of its upcoming Aftermath DLC expansion, NetherRealm Studios' Mortal Kombat 11 will be adding three new fighters that players can purchase: Fujin, Sheeva, and RoboCop. As one of the game's many guest characters alongside the T-800 Terminator, Image Comics' Spawn, and others, RoboCop from Paul Verhoeven's 1987 sci-fi classic is probably the most highly-anticipated of the bunch, and NetherRealm has been satiating this interest by releasing more details about the fighter with each passing day.

Players have already been introduced to some of RoboCop's Fatalities, including one where the original film's memorable mech ED-209 assists RoboCop in dispensing violent justice. However NetherRealm made the introduction of two new Brutalities the character can perform more interesting by hiding a YouTube video behind a code puzzle on its official Discord server.

The Mortal Kombat 11 video uploaded on May 14 is unlisted but can be seen by anyone with the link now that it has been discovered. Both RoboCop Brutalities involve gunplay; the first being an excruciatingly long onslaught that ends with him pinning opponents to the ground for a headshot, while the second is a much quicker shot to the groin that leaves the receiving fighter bleeding out on the floor.

Fans of the fighting game staple do not have to wait long to try out RoboCop and his vast array of customization options, as Aftermath will be released to the public on May 26, 2020. While the new story elements and characters will require a $40 buy-in, other additions like new stages to play on as well as returning Stage Fatalities and Friendships will be free for all in an update.

RoboCop is arguably the flashiest new character being introduced because of his status as a third-party fighter, but Fujin and Sheeva will also have plenty of work put into their presentations and movesets that should round out the Mortal Kombat roster well. Fans have previously been introduced to a Fujin Brutality that shreds opponents in a razor-sharp whirlwind, and no doubt other impressive kills will be revealed for all three fighters in due time.

The introduction of these characters also leaves the door open for other newcomers to potentially arrive in the future. RoboCop was a surprise revelation for many who believed rumors that Ash Williams from the Evil Dead franchise would be added for example, but who knows if he or other iconic characters will still have their chance in the Mortal Kombat spotlight going forward.

Mortal Kombat 11 is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One.
