Mortal Kombat 11 earned strong reviews when it released back in April, but the game has also had its fair share of criticism. Much of the criticism aimed at Mortal Kombat 11 revolves around features or characters from past games that didn't make it to the sequel, like fan-favorite character Mileena, for instance. Some Mortal Kombat 11 fans have also taken issue with the game's removal of a Raiden characteristic that has been a mainstay for the character since the very first game in 1992.

A couple of days ago, Reddit user SuperKasual posted an image petitioning NetherRealm to bring back Raiden's iconic flying scream in Mortal Kombat 11. For the uninitiated, past versions of Raiden would comically scream gibberish when doing his flying attack, but that's no longer the case in Mortal Kombat 11.

While the post does appear to be a joke, it has seen some pretty strong support on Reddit. It has over 4,000 upvotes, with many comments on the thread expressing their approval of Raiden's flying scream being added to Mortal Kombat 11. Others are less enthusiastic about the idea, wanting to create a petition for NetherRealm to add Reptile as a playable character in the game instead of having the studio focus on Raiden's goofy scream.

This YouTube video by Mitsuownes showcases how Raiden's flying scream has evolved over the years, so those who are confused about what exactly it is should check it out.

There doesn't appear to be any legitimate petitions to add Raiden's flying scream to Mortal Kombat 11 that we could find, which is surprising considering how many petitions have been made about the game. A quick trip to Change.org shows that there are a ton of Mortal Kombat 11 petitions on the site, with most of them demanding NetherRealm add certain characters to the game.

Perhaps the most significant Mortal Kombat 11 petition was the one to add Shaggy from Scooby-Doo to the game. That petition is still getting signatures to this day, nearing 400,000 signatures total. Despite this, though, NetherRealm has confirmed that Shaggy won't be added to the game, and it's unlikely other petitions, including any that may get made for Raiden's flying scream, will influence the developers either.

Mortal Kombat 11 is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with a Stadia version also in development.
