At the end of May, NetherRealm Studios announced that Nightwolf, Sindel, and Spawn would all be joining Shang Tsung as Mortal Kombat 11 DLC characters. Since this announcement, fans have been waiting for a closer look at these post-launch additions to the Mortal Kombat 11 character list, and now they have one in the form of a teaser trailer for Nightwolf.

While brief, the new Nightwolf trailer is the first video footage that players have seen of this confirmed Mortal Kombat 11 DLC character, and it is certain to be welcomed by those that are most excited for him to join the MK11 roster. In this teaser, Nightwolf unsheathes his axe before swinging it through the air and striking a pose with it lifted above his head. As expected, the axe glows in a way that will be familiar to Nightwolf fans, and the teaser closes with the words "you're next."

What is not shown in this teaser is actual gameplay footage for Mortal Kombat 11's Nightwolf, nor is a release date for the fighter confirmed by the trailer. The absence of these details may come as a disappointment to those that are hoping to take Nightwolf into battle very soon, but the release of the trailer at least suggests that more information on this MK11 DLC character could be coming in short order.

For players that may not be interested in Nightwolf, but are looking forward to the arrival of Sindel, the first render of Mortal Kombat 11's Sindel was shared less than two weeks ago. However, the focus that NetherRealm Studios has been putting on Nightwolf suggests that he will be the next MK11 DLC fighter added to the game, and it may thus still be a while before Sindel makes her debut.

Beyond the three aforementioned characters, NetherRealm Studios has remained silent about the other fighters that will be part of the Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack. That said, a Mortal Kombat 11 DLC character leak, which emerged before the game even launched, was accurate in its indication that Nightwolf, Sindel, and Spawn were to be post-launch MK11 characters, and it would be reasonable to expect that some of the other characters from this leak will join the roster as well.

Mortal Kombat 11 is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with a Stadia version in development.
