It's been about a month since we've seen the first footage of Nightwolf in Mortal Kombat 11, but now the curtain has been pulled completely back on the Native American warrior thanks to a brutal new gameplay trailer that also confirms when he will be available in the game.
As previously leaked, the early access release date for Nightwolf in Mortal Kombat 11 is August 13. Kombat Pack owners will be able to download the character then, and everyone else will have to wait until August 20. While they wait for Nightwolf to officially debut in Mortal Kombat 11, fans can check out the new gameplay trailer that offers an idea of what to expect from his moveset and shows off one of his Fatalities.
Nightwolf's moveset in Mortal Kombat 11 should be familiar to anyone who has played as the character in past Mortal Kombat games. He utilizes a tomahawk and bow and arrow as his primary weapons, sometimes stabbing his opponent with a dagger for good measure. Fans can take a look at the new ways Nightwolf uses his signature weapons in the trailer.
Now that fans know when Nightwolf is coming to Mortal Kombat 11, they can look forward to the next characters that are coming as part of the Kombat Pack. We know that next in the lineup is Sindel, and after she's added to the game, comic book character Spawn will be making his long-awaited debut. However, there are at least two more guest characters for Mortal Kombat 11 that have yet to be officially announced by NetherRealm.
Datamining efforts and leaks have offered a variety of possibilities as to who the final two DLC characters are in Mortal Kombat 11. Most of the evidence seems to point to The Terminator and Ash Williams from Evil Dead as being the final two guest fighters in Mortal Kombat 11, but there's also evidence that The Joker from DC Comics will be coming to the roster as well. Ultimately, we won't know for sure who is coming to the Mortal Kombat 11 roster until NetherRealm itself decides to share more information.
It's possible that news on Mortal Kombat 11 DLC fighters will come at EVO 2019, which is set to take place from August 2 to August 4. The event has seen big fighting game announcements in the past, so it certainly wouldn't be unprecedented for some kind of reveal to take place there, but fans will just have to stay tuned to find out.
Mortal Kombat 11 is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One with a Stadia version also in development.
