After months of cryptic clues and mysterious tweets, Warner Bros. Interactive finally announced the Kombat Pack 2 for Mortal Kombat 11. The pack will contain iconic movie character Rambo, and fan-favorite returning characters Mileena and Rain. The Mortal Kombat community has continuously demanded Mileena as a playable character since the game's release, and finally a preview of one of her intros references the community's demands.

There was been plenty of backlash from the community when Mileena was left out of the original Mortal Kombat 11 roster. With the announcement of the first Kombat Pack, fans demanded Mileena be included in the growing list of DLC characters. Mortal Kombat Creator Ed Boon has fueled the fire, regularly teasing Mileena before she was eventually announced for the second Kombat Pack. Ed Boon has kept fans guessing about every DLC character, so fans are relieved to see the classic half-Tarkatan princess return.

Warner Bros. Interactive is hyping up her return with an intro video posted on the official MK Twitter page. As fans wait for her gameplay reveal, the video features a conversation between Mileena and Erron Black. After Erron Black asks why Mileena has come back, she responds with, "A million souls cried for my return." This refers to the many fans who would flood every Mortal Kombat post with demands for Mileena.

The demands were certainly noticed. Ed Boon appeared on the Vic's Basement podcast, and when asked who is the most requested character, Ed Boon quickly responded with Mileena, adding, "It's nice to have such a ridiculously persistent fanbase that fortunately, or unfortunately, they know that we listen, they know that we've responded at times." Although fans displayed their frustrations with Mileena's absence, one of the main reasons fans request so much is because Mortal Kombat developers are known to be very interactive with fans.

Boon also had plenty of fun teasing the announcement of Rain and the second Kombat Pack. In a series of mysterious tweets featuring a Queen song and a reference to Prince, Boon revealed the classic character Rain's return. Pre-orders for Kombat Pack 2 are already available and the pack is expected to release on November 17th.

Warner Bros. Interactive has released gameplay for Rain and Rambo, while the intro teaser for Mileena prepares fans for her gameplay reveal trailer next week. Although Mileena has already been confirmed, it seems like developers are still poking fun at her demanded inclusion. It would not be surprising if Mileena has some other clever lines when she releases as a playable character.

Mortal Kombat 11 is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One, with versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X currently in development.
