Yesterday, a number of brand new details about Mortal Kombat 11's Kombat Pack 2 were supposedly discovered, with reputable leakers reporting mentions of Ash from Ash vs Evil Dead, Fujin, and Sheeva in the game's files following the Spawn update.

With these leaks corroborating with a number of other big rumors surrounding the game's future roster additions, it seems as though the three major characters are all but confirmed to make their Mortal Kombat 11 debut at some point in the near future. However, it appears another batch of new names might just be joining alongside the trifecta of fighters if a new glimpse at the game's files is to be believed.

Following their tweets surrounding the mentions of Ash, Sheeva, and Fujin yesterday, Twitter user @thethiny has since posted another update that seems to hint that another two classic Mortal Kombat characters and a mysterious third fighter will be joining the fray. Showing three screenshots of Mortal Kombat 11's files, the leaker highlights entries corresponding to the names Takeda, Stryker, and ROB.

If the files turn out to be authentic and are the seeds for an upcoming DLC, then the first two names on the list seem partially obvious. Takeda seems to be referring to Shirai Ryu's student Takeda Takahashi, who debuted in Mortal Kombat 10 after a long stint in the franchise's comic books. He wields whips and swords, and even cameos briefly within the newest Mortal Kombat game, although he isn't yet playable.

The second seems to refer to Stryker, who is one of the series main staples and a perfect fit for a DLC addition. He debuted in Mortal Kombat 3 and wields a mixture of handguns, grenades, nightsticks, and other military weaponry. The last time he was playable was in 2011's Mortal Kombat, which makes him an excellent potential roster member if the files turn out to be true.

The final name is more of a mystery. The prevailing theory from fans online appears to be that "ROB" is referring to RoboCop, with many assuming that the rumors surrounding the character making his debut in Mortal Kombat 11 have finally been confirmed.

However, it seems likely that this could also refer to another of the series numerous robotic characters. Some have speculated that the likes of Cyrax or Sektor could be up for the role, especially as both were mysteriously absent from Mortal Kombat 11. Regardless, the files are no doubt interesting and would make for some excellent new roster members if the speculation surrounding them turned out to be true. Until then, it's worth taking the suspicious mentions with a pinch of salt.

Mortal Kombat 11 is available now on Google Stadia, Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
