Mortal Kombat 11 Datamine May Confirm Kombat Pack 2 Characters

mortal kombat 11 kombat pack 2 character leak

Mortal Kombat 11 dataminers have been busy since the game launched, with two new details recently coming to light. Since it comes from a data mine, fans of the franchise should take this information with a grain of salt, but it's hard to imagine what else any of this could represent. Specifically, returning Mortal Kombat 11 finishers have been discovered, as well as audio files that suggest Fujin, a character first introduced in Mortal Kombat 4, have been found.

Fujin has only been playable twice since his introduction, though he has had quite a few cameos and appearances, so it's somewhat surprising to find that the PC version of the game has seen audio files added of the announcer indicating his victory in combat. This audio was lumped in with similar audio for characters that are known to be coming to the game, namely The Joker and Spawn, but developer NetherRealm Studios hasn't directly addressed Fujin at all. However, these Mortal Kombat 11 audio files have bigger implications than just Fujin's addition.

Assuming that this means Fujin will be a playable character in Kombat Pack 2, it also may confirm Sheeva and Evil Dead's Ash Williams will be as well. This is due to an old leak that occurred prior to the release of Mortal Kombat 11, revealing all DLC characters coming to the game. Thus far, this leak has been dead-on, accurately predicting every character found in Kombat Pack 1.

If this old leak is to be believed, and it certainly has the credibility, it stands to reason that Fujin, Sheeva, and Ash Williams will be on the Kombat Pack 2 roster. The data mine indicating Fujin's addition is just further proof of this leak, but that's also assuming nothing has changed since this first leaked. It's also possible that NetherRealm Studios has decided to swap out any number of these characters.

While fans will have to just wait and see if these three Mortal Kombat 11 DLC characters do actually appear in Kombat Pack 2, everything thus far seems to suggest that they will. All leaks and datamines should be treated carefully, but all signs seem to indicate these are to be believed.

Mortal Kombat 11 is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with a Stadia version also in development.
