Mortal Kombat 11 is just a few weeks away, but NetherRealm Studios still has yet to reveal its entire roster of fighters. Today, NetherRealm announced a brand new character for Mortal Kombat 11 named The Kollector.

The Kollector is the third completely new character that will be debuting in Mortal Kombat 11, joining the likes of the previously-revealed Cetrion and Geras. And like those characters, The Kollector will have a direct role to play in the game's story. In the Mortal Kombat universe, The Kollector was an associate of none other than Mortal Kombat 11 pre-order bonus Shao Kahn, who was killed off in a previous game. After Shao Kahn's death, The Kollector then went into hiding, only to later be captured and set for execution.

Physically-speaking, The Kollector is one of the stranger-looking Mortal Kombat characters. He has blueish skin and four arms, the latter of which he puts to good use against his opponents. The Kollector trailer gives fans a glimpse at some of his unique attacks, like stabbing his foes repeatedly in the back with four knives, stabbing one knife through their head, and then slitting their throat.

In the trailer, we also get a look at The Kollector's fatality. In Mortal Kombat 11, The Kollector's fatality is, as to be expected, pretty brutal. The Kollector tears out his opponent's organs one by one, until finally ripping off their head and stuffing it into his backpack to add it to his collection.

The Kollector looks like he will make an interesting addition to Mortal Kombat 11's growing roster of fighters. The game seems as though it will include a nice balance between new and returning characters, though it's worth pointing out that no guest fighters have been announced yet. Rumors point to Spawn in Mortal Kombat 11 as a guest fighter, but that has yet to be confirmed or denied at the time of writing.

As we edge ever close to Mortal Kombat 11's release, possible guest fighters and more original characters are likely to be revealed for the upcoming fighting game.

Mortal Kombat 11 will launch on April 23 for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
