While players with the Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack have had access to the game's latest DLC character, the Joker, for a week now, today is the first day that the fighter is available for individual purchase. In order to commemorate this new MK11 DLC character's full release, it seems that NetherRealm Studios has decided to add a brand new Joker Brutality to the game, and despite its gruesomeness, it is one of his silliest finishers yet.

This new Mortal Kombat 11 Joker Brutality begins with the character using his amplified CCDDEGEC special move, which sees the legendary DC villain launch a toy from his jack-in-the-box. This deadly toy then proceeds to spring towards the Joker's unsuspecting opponent, and it eventually explodes upon them to a somewhat unexpected effect. Namely, the explosion completely replaces the defeated foe's head, leaving them with the visage of a a smiling clown.

While seeing the characters on the Mortal Kombat 11 roster transformed into clowns is comical in and of itself, the Brutality does not stop there. Instead, the Joker once again pulls out his jack-in-the-box, and after turning the crank his adversary's decapitated head pops out. This only adds to the absurdity of this new finisher, and makes it stand out amidst the myriad of Brutalities that are already available in the game.

That said, this is not the first MK11 Joker Brutality to slant towards the comedic, and many fans will already be familiar with some of his other more farcical finishers. For example, one particularly silly Joker Brutality sees the psychotic clown light his opponent on fire before snuffing out the blaze with a hug, and this new finisher finds a similar balance between revolting violence and humorous ridiculousness.

For players that would like to unlock this new Brutality for the Joker in MK11, it is currently available through the Mortal Kombat 11 Towers of Time. More specifically, fans should look to the Joker's Premiere Tower, which is available right now, in order to obtain the finisher. That said, this Tower will certainly not be around forever, and interested players should thus act relatively quickly.

Mortal Kombat 11 is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One.
