Mortal Kombat 11's secret character has been revealed to be none other than Frost, the fan-favorite cyber Lin Kuei warrior. Gameplay of Frost showcased her various abilities and fatalities, but what it leaves out is how developer NetherRealm Studios takes the opportunity to use Frost as an Easter egg for Disney's Frozen, specifically for the fan-favorite character Elsa.

Not one to rest on its laurels, Mortal Kombat 11 actually has two Easter eggs that allude to Frozen and Elsa. The first is the most obvious, and many players may have easily realized themselves. During the intro between Frost and Cassie Cage, one of the so-called "Kombat Kids," Cage calls Frost "Elsa." Frost is clearly annoyed by this and makes a statement that seems like more than Cage is calling her the character from Frozen (though it's apparent Frost also doesn't understand the allusion).

The second is a bit more nuanced and less likely to be noticed. It takes place during the intro between two players who are both playing Frost. The two Frosts will then share an exchange which is unwittingly lyrics from the Frozen song, "Let It Go." The irony is clearly lost on the Mortal Kombat 11 character, but not for the Disney savvy Mortal Kombat fan.

These two Easter eggs may not add much to the overall experience of the fighting game, but it is a nice touch considering many could make the connection between Frost and Elsa regardless. Speaking of Easter eggs, Frozen isn't the only allusion in the game, with Mortal Kombat 11 also referencing Donald Trump. It appears that many of these Easter eggs occur during the intros between certain characters, so mindful players may want to keep an eye out.

Another detail that's worth keeping an eye on is how to get all Mortal Kombat 11 endings, since there are three: the best ending, the good ending, and the bad ending. Essentially, to earn the best one, players will want to win every chance they get against the main antagonist of the story mode.

Mortal Kombat 11 is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One
