With Spawn now available to all Mortal Kombat 11 players, fans have already begun to question what is next for the popular fighting game. Of course, all rumors seem to point to an upcoming Kombat Pack 2, with the title rumored to be bringing a number of new fighters into the fold in the next year. Speculation and leaks have seemed to hint at a wide selection of new faces, however, three have stuck as the most likely candidates to make their way to the Mortal Kombat 11 roster.

These are Ash from Ash vs Evil Dead, Sheeva, and Fujin, with a number of reputable sources citing the trifecta of characters as near confirmed to make their way to the title in the near future. The names of the fighters were even spotted by clever fans in the game's files, further cementing that they were likely to feature in a Kombat Pack 2. That was, however, until recently, when all mention of the three rumored DLC fighters was suspiciously removed from the game following the Joker update.

However, it appears their mysterious absence has been rectified in the most recent Spawn update, with a notorious modder going by the handle @thethiney on Twitter claiming that the mentions of the three presumed fighters have been re-added. According to the modder, the names of the characters can be found in Spawn's text files, confirming that they have indeed returned. With Spawn having recently debuted, this could be yet another solid indicator that Netherealm is gearing up to announce its next wave of faces, with rumors seemingly being correct about the fighters being Ash, Sheeva, and Fujin.

Fans aren't unanimously happy though, with many seeming disappointed that the next lineup of characters is much smaller than the first. A number of Redditors discussing the discovery seemed worried about the smaller lineup, with one stating "I had no doubts about them being in the Kombat Pack but I'm just hoping that doesn't mean the next Kombat Pack is only 3." A second claimed "This is worrying. I hope that we have more than just 3 characters in KP2," while a third stated, "alright but holding out that Haviks in it as well."

While fans are clearly excited to see these three faces finally make their way to Mortal Kombat 11, they evidently still want to see more new roster members make their way to the game as well. When names like Michael Myers and Havik were mentioned as potential DLC, fans were elated, so here's to hoping there are more fighters on the way after Ash, Fujin, and Sheeva have had their time in the spotlight.

Mortal Kombat 11 is available now on Google Stadia, Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
