One of the creepier characters to come out of Mortal Kombat X was D'Vorah, a new character that utilized a lot of bug and insect type moves. After revealing that she would be returning in Mortal Kombat 11, NetherRealm Studios developers really leaned into her insect aesthetic by giving her even more abilities centered around being a brood mother and using bugs as projectiles.

Following one of the many leaks that occurred prior to the Mortal Kombat 11 launch, fans learned about a move known as Bug-Vorah. While many believed this to signal the return of animalities, a fatality style move that turned the character into an animal to finish the opponent, a Kombat Kast later held by the developers revealed the truth behind her unique new ability.

Essentially acting as a last chance mechanic, D'Vorah is able to spawn a flying bug that has a chance to finish the match for her once her life bar is completely drained. It's fully player controlled and has its own set of moves.

The move itself isn't available by default but it is tied to a Mortal Kombat 11 trophy/achievement as well. Here's how to enable and use Bug-Vorah, as well as what's needed to unlock Total Disrespect.

How to Unlock and Use Bug-Vorah

Mixing elements from Injustice 2 and Mortal Kombat X, the latest game in the long-running franchise introduces a way for players to completely customize their favorite characters from their appearance, intros and outros, as well as the moves that are available to perform during a match. Not every ability a character has can be equipped, however, as each move has a certain amount of slots that it takes up when equipping.

For Bug-Vorah, players need to select D'Vorah from the Kustomize menu, then tab over to the Abilities menu. Remove two skills and equip the Mother Bug ability as it takes two slots to use. Add another ability into the one remaining slot if needed, then save. When using this custom variation, the baby bug will pop out once D'Vorah is defeated in battle.

Total Disrespect Guide

While getting a second chance at victory is always a good thing, this bug won't make things any easier, as it has low health and is barely even a character at all. However, if a player is able to come back in a match and defeat their opponent, the Total Disrespect for Mortal Kombat 11 achievement is unlocked.

Naturally, this is likely going to be a challenge against a human opponent, but there is a much easier way to earn this quickly. Simply set up a local match against an AI opponent, set the match difficulty to Very Easy, and select the custom Bug Mother variation of D'Vorah. Knock the enemy's health down to a sliver and then let it fight back and "win." Upon death, the baby bug will burst out of D'Vorah's corpse and can be used to fight back. Defeat the opponent to unlock the achievement.

Mortal Kombat 11 is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
