This year is absolutely packed with tons of triple-A games, and Mortal Kombat 11 is certainly one of the bigger titles set to release. The Mortal Kombat 11 beta reveal happened a few months ago, but players didn't really know what to expect as far as actual content was concerned for the test. Luckily, NetherRealm has finally revealed the full list of characters that players will have a chance to check out on the beta's start date.

Baraka, Jade, Skarlet, Kabal, and Skorpion will all be playable during the beta, which is a surprising amount of variety for the test. Players will also be able to play around with the custom variation mechanic, which features special loadouts and costumes for any Mortal Kombat 11 character. The beta will also feature Klassic Towers and online matches, so players should have quite a bit to keep them occupied for the entire duration of the three-day beta, which runs from March 28-31.

Of course, there are some surprising omissions from the Mortal Kombat 11 beta's roster of characters. Many fans were expecting Sub Zero to make an appearance during the test, as the character is almost as iconic as Skorpion, but no such luck. On the other end is Shaggy, who no one expected to make it into the game but fans petitioned so hard that even Mortal Kombat 11 Game Director Ed Boon responded.

The Mortal Kombat 11 release date is still about a month away, but the test (the Mortal Kombat 11 beta start date is March 28th) should help sate the bloodlust of eager fans. Now that the full Mortal Kombat 11 roster has leaked, players pretty much know what they have to look forward to when the game actually launches. Of course, more DLC characters will release over the course of the game's lifespan, so there's still plenty to look forward to on the horizon.

It'll be interesting to see how fans react to the game's beta, as it will likely be a strong indicator as to how the full game is shaping up. Mortal Kombat has a long legacy of releasing great fighting games, and it appears that MK11 will carry on this tradition, if the trailers and marketing material are anything to go off of.

Mortal Kombat 11 will release on April 23, 2019, for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch.
