Scorpion goes back to the very beginning of Mortal Kombat, and he is, most certainly, one of the most played characters on the Mortal Kombat 11 roster. Indeed, anyone that has participated in the Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat League has very likely gone up against their fair share of Scorpion players, and he is definitely quite powerful. In honor of this resurrected ninja, one fan has taken it upon themselves to make an artwork depicting the evolution of Scorpion, and it is included here for all to see.

Created by Reddit user _anths_art_, this Mortal Kombat 11 art gives a peek at the changes that Scorpion has undergone since his debut in 1992's Mortal Kombat. Considering the fact that Scorpion has appeared as a playable character in every generation of MK, there is quite a bit of source material for the artist to draw from, and the artwork features 10 different versions of the yellow ninja.

For those that are intrigued by this MK11 art, more of _anths_art_'s work can be found on their Instagram, and it focuses on subject matter ranging from horror to fantasy and beyond. There are even in-progress images of the featured Scorpion piece to be seen, which offer a look at various stages of the creative process — a process that the artist indicates took more than 40 hours in full.

While the Mortal Kombat 11 DLC characters may be what fans are most interested in at this point in time, it is hard to deny just how iconic Scorpion is. In fact, Scorpion is such a legend, that he is even found himself making appearances outside of the Mortal Kombat franchise, showing up in games like NBA Jam Tournament Edition and The Grid.

With respect to the MK11 DLC characters, fans are still patiently waiting for the release of Nightwolf, the game's apparent second post-launch fighter. Despite the current absence of a release date, there is at least video footage of Mortal Kombat 11's Nightwolf to help pass the time. And if that doesn't work, fan artworks, like the one seen here from _anths_art_, may just be enough to keep some fans excited about MK11.

Mortal Kombat 11 is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with a Stadia version in development.
