Mortal Kombat 11 features quite a few crossovers with famous movies from the past, with the game adding Terminator as a DLC fighter and plenty of other licensed characters being featured in other entries. However, Mortal Kombat 11 is expanding that line up, with a new skin based on Alien being added to the game.

A new skin for Jacqui Briggs, one of the Mortal Kombat 11's original roster characters, mashes her up with Ellen Ripley from Alien. The skin features the iconic Ripley outfit from the film series, though it does retain Jacqui Briggs' gauntlets, adding just a little extra oomph to the skin.

Dubbed Space Marine Jacqui Briggs, the skin is pretty interesting. It's an obvious nod to Ripley's uniform, but still fits well with the character and the universe. Mortal Kombat is no stranger to adding such nods, even adding a Batman Who Laughs skin for Noob Saibot along with the Joker DLC pack.

The skin is available now as part of the Matinee Skin Pack, which can be purchased for $5.99, or downloaded for free by Kombat Pack owners. The Matinee Skin Pack also includes the Osh-Tekk Vandal skin for Kotal Kahn - which does resemble Conan the Barbarian. Additionally, the pack includes the Swashbuckler skin for Erron Black, which somewhat resembles Indiana Jones. There are rumors of a second Kombat Pack, which could include the likes of Stryker and possibly even Robocop.

The other two skins in the pack are interesting, but the Alien skin is certainly a standout. Mortal Kombat X featured a full-fledged Xenomorph as a DLC character, so the two franchises are no strangers to each other. It would certainly be interesting to see the Xenomorph return, but that may be best for a future entry in the franchise to allow for other characters to make a Mortal Kombat debut.

There's likely a lot more for Mortal Kombat 11 in the future. Kombat Pack 2 rumors have continuously picked up steam, with a Mortal Kombat 11 Aftermath Kollection which would presumably feature all of the game's DLC in one package– leaking earlier today via SteamDB. There's been no official confirmation thus far, but Mortal Kombat featured a similar package, so it's a possibility.

Mortal Kombat 11 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One.
