Mortal Kombat 11 is set to launch its big Aftermath expansion in just a few days time, and so NetherRealm has been releasing new trailers for the new DLC characters. New Fujin and RoboCop trailers have already been released, and so NetherRealm has now released a trailer for Sheeva, the third and final new character coming to the popular fighting game as part of Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath.

Sheeva was already featured in the Mortal Kombat 11 base game, seen during some of its cut-scenes. However, the Aftermath expansion will make her fully playable, giving fans the chance to obliterate their opponents as the Queen of the Shokan. Sheeva looks to be bringing with her a particularly brutal and hard-hitting move-set, which should pair well with the Mortal Kombat 11's over-the-top action and violence.

It will be interesting to see if Sheeva plays a significant role in the Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath story. Right now, all that's really known about the Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath story is that it involves Shang Tsung, Night Wolf, and Fujin attempting to stop Raiden and Liu Kang from reshaping the timeline.

Anyone that wants to experience the Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath story and add Sheeva to their roster will have to purchase the Aftermath expansion, but there is free content coming to MK11 as well. On May 26, Mortal Kombat 11 players can download a free update that will add new stages, Stage Fatalities, and Friendships - the friendly opposite of the game's infamous Fatalities.

Those that do purchase the paid version of the Aftermath expansion will get all of the free stuff as well as the story, Sheeva, Fujin, and RoboCop. The Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath expansion price is $39.99, so it is a little steep, but it should provide plenty of content for fans of the game. It could really go a long way in breathing new life into MK11 while fans wait patiently for NetherRealm's next project.

As for what's next from NetherRealm, that's still up for debate. It's possible the studio will produce more Mortal Kombat 11 content, maybe even release the long-rumored Evil Dead Ash Williams DLC, or maybe it will move on to its next game. In the meantime, NetherRealm fans can check out the Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath expansion when it launches on May 26.

Mortal Kombat 11 is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One.
