The cast and crew of Moon Knight walked the red carpet at the series’ premiere in Los Angeles on Tuesday night. Joining the team was Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige, who expressed his excitement over the series upcoming release on Disney Plus. But, what has stuck with fans is Feige's revelation as to why he is so thrilled about the character coming to life in this adaptation.

Moon Knight will see Oscar Isaac step into the shoes of Steven Grant, “a mild-mannered gift-shop employee,” who soon discovers that he has a disorder and is living with an alter ego of mercenary Marc Spector. As it turns out, Feige has been wanting to work on Moon Knight content for a long time, and he is pleased that Marvel Studios was finally able to transform it into a six-episode miniseries.

When speaking to press at the El Capitan Theater during the red carpet premiere of Moon Knight, Feige revealed that he has been “thinking about making a Moon Knight film or show for a very long time.” Feige added that he was thrilled that it was debuting on Tuesday night. The series will not be available to watch on Disney Plus until March 30, but the premiere confirms its introduction into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Moon Knight stars Isaac, Ethan Hawke, May Calamawy, and others were all present at the event and shared the excitement of finally being able to introduce their characters to the world. “I am so excited for you guys to go on this incredibly wild, demented, amazing journey,” Isaac was heard telling press at the event. Hawke, who portrays the role of Arthur Harrow, on the other hand was all-praise for co-star Isaac, and revealed that he is “brilliant in the show.” Calamawy informed audiences that “every episode is going to be an adventure.”

With Phase 4 of the MCU, Marvel Studios moved into the weekly-release format and worked on some excellent series in the process, which were released exclusively on Disney Plus. The studio has already premiered WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, What If…?, and Hawkeye so far. Moon Knight is next to join the glorious roster, and will be the MCU's first production of the year 2022.

Moon Knight premieres on Disney Plus on March 30, 2022.
