There's a new update for Monster Hunter: World available now that addresses a few of the game's current issues. Primarily, the patch smooshes a pesky bug that's causing problems for players attempting to initiate the recently added Siege quest.

A new monster, Kulve Taroth, was added to Monster Hunter: World last week, and the requirements to begin the quest are pretty simple. As usual, the quest line first tasks hunters with searching for traces of the monster. They then need to report to the Admiral back in Astera. However, speaking to the Admiral in the field when participating in another player's instance would cause the quest line to not progress in the correct manner. The patch addresses this bug. Of course, those who encountered the issue could easily remedy the problem by visiting the Admiral in Astera, as the quest suggests.

Now that those kinks are worked out, players should have no more issues beginning the Siege quest and taking on the new beastie. Those looking for a few tips for the hunt ahead, check out our guide for beating Kulve Taroth.

The update also fixes an issue that affects the great sword Wyvern Ignition. The sword's "Impact" saw its fire elemental attack value inexplicably reduced to 240. That has been brought back up to the proper 510 value. Additionally, there were some bugs in the data collection and statistical information given by the First Wyverian. This concerns weapon usage, number of monsters slain, and whatnot.

Players can check out the full patch notes, as well as more length explanations of each issue, on the game's official website.

It was recently announced that Monster Hunter: World will be adding even more Street Fighter crossover content very soon. Starting May 3, players will have the chance to obtain Sakura's gear set. The event period is very short, lasting only a week, so players need to hustle to snag their prize.

Monster Hunter World is now available for PS4 and Xbox One. A PC version is set to release this fall.
