Monster Hunter World players on PS4 have already had the chance to unlock some Horizon: Zero Dawn-inspired armor for their Palico, and soon they will be able to complete their collection. Capcom has announced the dates and details of the next Horizon: Zero Dawn event quest in the game, with players able to unlock Aloy's bow and armor from February 25 to March 3.

The next Horizon: Zero Dawn event quest in Monster Hunter World is called The Proving, and it will give players a chance to earn the materials necessary to craft Aloy's bow and armor. The Proving will be exclusive to the PS4 version of the game, and it will involve hunting down a giant Anjanath.

The Anjanath, for those unaware, is a large monster that resembles a T-Rex. The beast is one of the deadlier monsters in the game, with devastating charge attacks and a flame blast that can potentially one-shot players, depending on what kind of armor they have equipped. Considering this, players will want to make sure they're properly prepared before they accept The Proving event quest.

Part of this preparation process will include making sure players reach the appropriate Hunter Rank for the job. The Proving will require players to be at least Hunter Rank 11, so those that haven't reached that rank quite yet might want to do some grinding.

While The Proving event quest and the Horizon: Zero Dawn equipment will be exclusive to the PS4 version of the game, those on other platforms have crossover events to look forward to as well. In the future, fans can expect gear based on Street Fighter characters Ryu and Sakura, as well as Mega Man armor for their Palico.

Considering Monster Hunter World's record-breaking sales and the game's growing popularity, it wouldn't be surprising to see other crossovers later on. In the meantime, fans can look forward to the next Horizon: Zero Dawn event quest in Monster Hunter World when it kicks off on February 25, exclusively on PlayStation 4.

Monster Hunter World is available now for PS4 and Xbox One, with a PC release planned for later this year.
