Just this week, the NPD Group revealed that Monster Hunter World topped game sales for the month of January, a tremendous achievement for Capcom’s long-running series. And with so many copies of the game sold - over 6 million last we counted - there are bound to be plenty of players looking for things to do in the game.

Lucky for them, Monster Hunter World has just updated its event quest schedule through most of March. Specifically, the schedule includes the next three week’s worth of event quests, which range from simple arena battles to more involved, high rank hunts.

See the updated schedule below:

Event quests, for those that may not know, are weekly hunts that can range in difficulty from tackling a single Great Jagras to several flying wyverns. Usually, these quests also offer special rewards, which can be redeemed at the Smithy for unique armor pieces. One of the previous event quests also turned out to be a great method for farming Zenny, so they are worth keeping an eye on even if the gear is not appealing.

Some highlights for this current week include the Wildspire Bolero event quest, which requires the player hunt a Kulu Ya Ku, a Barroth, a Jyuratodus, a Rathian, and a Diablos – basically all the main monsters that spawn in the Wildspire Wastes. Doing this may seem like a chore, but the event quest has an added bonus: the monsters have a higher chance of rewarding miniature and giant crowns. These are signifiers that a player has encountered a larger or smaller than normal version of the monster in question.

The other event quest worth looking into is the Snow and Cherry Blossoms quest. This one has the player(s) hunting a tempered Legiana and Pink Rathian in exchange for more Hunter Rank experience than normal. For those players looking to get up to HR 50 and unlock those tempered elder dragon investigations, this is a good way to rank up quickly. Then all that is left is the tempered Kirin hunt.

It’s best to think of event quests like unique pairings for players to do during the week – a reason to return to the game even after they have customized their build and augmented their weapons and armor. Every week is something different to do with new incentives.

Monster Hunter World is out now for PS4 and Xbox One. The PC version releases in fall 2018.
