Capcom has revealed new details and a new trailer for Monster Hunter: World. This latest information became available during a Japanese live stream, revealing new and returning fan-favorite Elder Dragons, information about the final beta, and details concerning post-launch support.

In the trailer, two of the Elder Dragons revealed are the steel dragon Kushala Daora and the flame king dragon Teostra. Hunters will have to face wind storms from Kushala Daora and a hellish inferno from Teostra. These battles will seemingly challenge veterans of the series, as Monster Hunter: World may attract new and returning players. The rock-eating wyvern Dodogama is also introduced, which can cause rocks to explode. Several other Elder Dragons and monsters are highlighted, so check out the new trailer here:

With the game set to release on console within the month, gamers may also be excited to learn that the final PlayStation 4 beta will begin January 18 and last through January 22 in North America. Since the story mode is set to take an impressive amount of time, many hunters may wish to seize this final opportunity to do some hunting. This final beta before full launch will continue to allow hunters to face Great Jagras, Anjanath, and Barroth, but it also includes the flagship monster Nergigante.

While it was previously confirmed that Monster Hunter: World would receive free DLC, details have been sparse. Now, Capcom has revealed that there will be regular content updates including free major title updates. The first update is set to release in Spring 2018 and introduce the all-devouring brute Deviljho into the game. Nothing else has been revealed, but this small taste may very well excite many players for the post-launch world of Monster Hunter: World.

Sadly, the game producer Ryozo Tsujimoto recently announced a delay for PC. Although it previously had no stated release window, many players may not have anticipated such a wide berth. While this may be a disappointment to PC players, console gamers only need to wait a couple of weeks before taking on these Elder Dragons. Happy hunting!

Monster Hunter: World is set to launch on January 26 for PS4 and Xbox One. A PC release is set for some time this fall.
