About a week ago, Capcom released an official trailer showing that Elder Dragons would be making their way into the forthcoming role-playing game Monster Hunter World, but some fan-favorite creatures were surprisingly absent in the clip. Now, thanks to one eagle-eyed fan, it looks as if a television advertisement in Japan has confirmed that the title will include the Elder Dragon Kirin.

As seen below in the video courtesy of the YouTuber known as Sute Aka, Monster Hunter World fans can get a glimpse of Kirin in action, with the Unicorn-esque Elder Dragon summoning lighting to attack the player and then rearing up on its hind legs. Of course, considering the fact that the ad's barely 15 seconds long, Kirin is only on the screen for a brief moment before an edit cuts away to another scene, so fans will need to watch closely.

What's more is that the Japanese ad for Monster Hunter World features Kirin in the recently revealed Coral Highlands, with the location now being shown off for the second time since the role-playing game's announcement. Just a few days ago, in fact, Capcom put out a nearly 10 minute-long gameplay trailer that explores the area and features a couple of its creatures–that is, the flying wyverns known as Paulumu and Legiana.

Taking all of this into consideration, Monster Hunter World's inclusion of Kirin in the game will likely delight fans of the franchise, especially if developers have imbued the Elder Dragon with its trademark toughness, which makes it that much more of a challenge to beat. Of course, with the RPG's release date less than two weeks away, fans thankfully won't have to wait much longer to find out what the battle with Kirin will be like.

Monster Hunter World is set to launch on January 26, 2017 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
