It's been a busy few weeks for Monster Hunter World players as not only has Capcom brought back many of the previously offered event quests, but the developer recently added a brand new monster for players to hunt as well. Known as Kulve Taroth, players need to work together to track down and slay the golden monster. Outside of that and following on the heels of the Spring Blossom Festival as well as the Mega Man event, Capcom has now made its latest crossover event live featuring, Dante from Devil May Cry.

Starting today, Monster Hunter World players can take part in this Devil May Cry collaboration by selecting the new event quest type called Code: Red. It is a 8 star, HR14 type quest that puts players inside the arena to face off against Anjanath, Odogaron, Rathalos, and Teostra in that order. With only 50 minutes available to complete this quest, players are advised to wear high fire defense armor, considering all but Odogaron attack with it, as well as attack with an ice type weapon which all monsters except Rathalos are weak to. Capturing each monster may help shorten this quest length as well.

After finishing the quest, players earn Red Orbs which is a material that can be used at the smithy to forge Dante's high-rank Devil Hunter outfit. Not only that, players can also craft a special thunder enhanced charge blade made to look like Dante's signature weapon, Alastor. In total, players will need about seven Red Orbs in order to craft everything, as well as various materials from each of the monsters in this quest. Players have until May 3 to finish up this quest, though it's likely Capcom will bring it back at a certain date in the future.

Devil May Cry may be the latest crossover event, but certainly not the last one Capcom has planned for players. After Dante has departed, the second Street Fighter crossover collaboration featuring Sakura will begin and run until May 10. Offering a Street Fighter 5 inspired Sakura outfit, players will need to complete a quest likely similar to the challenge for Ryu's outfit. After earning special tickets, players can then opt to forge the armor from the Astera smithy.

Monster Hunter World is available now for PS4 and Xbox One. A PC release is planned for late 2018.
