Thanks to the high quality of the content found in the base game, and due to Capcom's continual support with unique events and gear, there's no doubt that Monster Hunter World deserves its spot on our list for the best role-playing games of 2018. Now, continuing its near-constant updates for the title, Capcom has decided to provide even more crossover content to the action-RPG with the introduction of some fresh Assassin's Creed-themed armor and gear.

One of the new pieces of Assassin's Creed content in Monster Hunter World is called the "Bayek Layered Armor", and it can be acquired right now through January 10, 2019 by way of a limited-time event quest called "SDF: Silent, Deadly, and Fierce" for PS4 and Xbox One. Unfortunately for PC players, Capcom has not yet announced an official time when or if it will incorporate the AC-themed crossover equipment for the personal computer iteration of the game.

For those who wish to get the special materials necessary to craft the Bayek Layered Armor in Monster Hunter World, the "SDF" quest requires players to first defeat Odogaron and Deviljho, which then ought to prompt a fight with Lunastra. Those who manage to beat all three will then be rewarded with a unique quest item called Senu's Feather, which will be the key to unlocking the gear inspired by the protagonist of Assassin's Creed Origins.

Taking the Senu's Feather to the Smithy in Monster Hunter World will reveal that 2 Senu's Feathers are required to forge the Bayek Layered Armor, so it will be necessary to successfully take on the "SDF" quest at least one more time to get the gear set. What's more is that visiting the Armory attendant across from the Smithy will provide players with a specialized tool called the "Assassin's Hood"–armor reminiscent of Ezio Auditore's–which requires 2 Senu's Feathers to unlock as well.

All things considered, it's great to see Capcom adding even more crossover content to Monster Hunter World, especially with it being a nod to one of the most popular franchises of all time in Assassin's Creed. However, it's peculiar that the publisher and developer didn't choose to go with armor modeled after Alexios and Kassandra from AC Odyssey, seeing as how it's the most recent game in the series. Nevertheless, it's safe to presume most Hunters will simply be pleased to seize both Bayek's garb and Ezio's hood for the time being.

Monster Hunter World is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
