After wowing crowds at E3 last year, Capcom's massive third person action game, Monster Hunter World is finally available to console players. PlayStation 4 fans are getting a little extra as well thanks to the previously announced collaboration to bring a little Horizon: Zero Dawn flavor into Monster Hunter World. With the game now available, players are now getting their first crack at unlocking the first round of unique armor.

With the release of Monster Hunter World now live on the PlayStation 4, players have access to the first exclusive timed event quest known as Lessons of the Wild. A notification appears for players who access their Daily Login Bonus, tasking them to hunt down 8 Wingdrakes, also known as Barnos. Upon completing the 5 star quest, players earn a full set of Palico armor and unique weapon which essentially turns the companion into a Watcher from Horizon: Zero Dawn.

Though a date isn't set, a second event quest will give players a chance to earn Aloy's bow and her full armor set for a limited time. Equipping the armor set turns the player character into Aloy, rather than just giving providing her armor. For now, Capcom hasn't confirmed if these limited time PS4 exclusive quests will return again in the future, so players should make it a priority to finish this quest before it ends on February 8.

Players should expect to see plenty of content like this going forward as Capcom has previously outlined its plans to keep the experience fresh by offering free downloadable content. Special limited time event quests with unique rewards will be offered as well as other items and updates. In addition, a Mega Man crossover event is also planned which not only lets players deck their Palico out in 8 Bit style Mega Man armor, but collect weapons which unlock classic Mega Man themes to hunt to.

Monster Hunter World is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and arriving later in 2018 for PC.
