As a sequel to the 3DS game, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin has finally released and given fans a fresh new perspective on monster interactions in the series. Of the long list of monsters in Monster Hunter Stories 2, the very top are a special class of powerful enemies known as Royal Monsters.

These powerful monsters are incredibly rare and hard to kill. However, if players manage to defeat them and nab one of their Monstie eggs, they will be able to hatch the monster and add it to their team.

Tigrex

The Tigrex can spawn at three possible locations. However, gamers will have the most luck finding Tigrex near the Inner Catavan Outpost in Harzgai Hill. Tigrex will be sleeping nearby on the Basarios Rocks and will attack hunters as soon as they get close.

Monoblos

Close to where fans found the Tigrex, travel west this time towards the Harzgai Rocky Hill, and the Monoblos Royal Monster should appear.

Gammoth

The Gammoth Royal Monster is located in Loloska near the Woodland Catavan Outpost. There should be a huge clearing with the Gammoth sleeping right in the middle.

Zinogre

To find the Zinogre, hunters should climb down the mountain in Loloska right towards the Lavina Glacial Peaks Catavan Outpost. The Zinogre should eventually pop up for fans along the way.

Brute Tigrex

The Brute Tigrex Royal Monster spawns in Lamure close to the Sadona Barrens Catavan Outpost. The Brute Tigrex should be sleeping close by in plain sight.

White Monoblos

For the last Royal Monster, the White Monoblos should also appear in the Lamure Pit. Gamers can reach it quickly by traveling north from the Jalma Highlands Catavan Outpost.

Unfortunately, while they might be somewhat easy to find, a lot of the Royal Monsters do have moves that can kill hunters in one hit. Therefore, hunters will need to come well equipped to the battles and know their weaknesses ahead of time.

The go-to method is always breaking their parts to stop them from using their special techniques. And if gamers are interested in getting their Monstie Egg, they will need to look up the battle requirements in the Hunterpedia for how to make them retreat from battle.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is now available for the Nintendo Switch and PC.
