Continuing the trend of collaboration events, Monster Hunter Rise has brought in another Capcom property. Okami is the second Capcom Collab Event Quest in Monster Hunter Rise, following the inclusion of the Tsukino Palico layered armor from Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin.

Okami is an action-adventure game developed by Clover Studio and published by Capcom in 2006. It tells the classic story of how the Shinto sun goddess Amaterasu, who took on the form of a white wolf, saved the land from darkness. Thanks to its story and unique cel-shaded art style, Okami was praised by critics and players alike. There are many who consider it to be one of the greatest games ever made. Its colorful and striking art style has also helped promote the argument of games as an art form.

How to Unlock the Okami Quest

To first access the quest, players will need to speak with Senri the Mailman. He's the little Palico at the dead center of Kamura Village. By selecting Add-on Content and then scrolling through the list Event Quest: Rising Sun!?, the quest will be downloaded and made available. Alternatively, players can also press the Accept All button to receive all the available DLC quests and extras.

With the quest downloaded, players can then head to either hub maiden to accept the quest. It is a 2* Low Rank quest that takes place in the Shrine Ruins. Players are tasked with collecting 21 Sun Goddess pictures that have been scattered about the area. The pictures are actually small packages and each has its location marked on the map, making a simple task even easier.

Once complete, players will be awarded a unique item called a Celestial Scroll. This, along with Fur Scraps, is required to forge the Ammy layered Palamute armor. Players will need four Celestial Scrolls to forge the armor, so it will take multiple runs of the quest to collect them all. Fortunately, it's quick and easy, so it's only a matter of time until the player's Palamute can take on a legendary appearance.

Monster Hunter Rise has had a number of collaborations since its release on Nintendo Switch in 2021. In addition to the events listed above, Akuma from Street Fighter has appeared, Rush from Mega Man has been turned into Palamute armor, Arther from Ghosts and Goblins has been turned into hunter armor, multiple pieces have been added from the Sonic series, and more. Each event is free DLC and adds a fun little bit of flair to an already content-rich game.

Monster Hunter Rise is currently available for Nintendo Switch and PC.
