Monster Hunter Rise is just a month away, and Hori is releasing a special Nintendo Switch controller to celebrate. Many fans are extremely excited about this Nintendo Switch console exclusive, as trailers for Monster Hunter Rise have been building up enthusiasm leading up to the game's launch. The new Hori controller also adds to that excitement.

Hori sells a Split Pad Pro controller for the Nintendo Switch. The design works very much like the Joy-Cons, in that they slide onto each side of the standard Switch console for portable play. However, they provide a more traditional grip, full-size controller feel, a traditional button layout, and even programmable/assignable buttons (including on the rear). And now, Hori is selling a Split Pad Pro design based on Monster Hunter Rise.

The Monster Hunter Rise special edition Hori Split Pad Pro is available to pre-order right now in Japan. Currently, it is not available outside of that region. However, it is possible to import the controller. Monster Hunter Rise is releasing on March 26; the Hori controller will be available on April 26, so there will be some waiting time there. Of course, for those outside of Japan who may have it shipped, that waiting time would be even longer.

Hori has been working with Nintendo for quite some time, with the Hori Flex accessibility controller for the Switch being one of the best examples of the company's innovation. The accessory allows people with disabilities to enjoy gaming in ways they perhaps never have been able to, which is great.

Monster Hunter Rise will release on Switch on March 26, 2021, and PC in 2022.
