The hunt for power never ends in Monster Hunter Rise. Players who wish to take on the game's toughest challenges will need to endlessly farm resources to build and upgrade better weapons and armor. From gathering parts of plants to capturing monsters, there is a wide range of activities in the game and a plethora of resources that can be obtained by taking part in them.

Gracium Ore is a late-game resource in Monster Hunter Rise that players will only be able to get after they have access to High Rank missions. During High Rank missions, the game's areas undergo a subtle remix, providing a whole new range of resources to improve weapons and armor even further.

To access High Rank content, players will need to complete Village quests until they hit 6 Star Level. Once they achieve this, they will need to complete three special license quests, and when they complete the final one, they will have access to High Rank content. These are the most taxing hunts, so the Hunter's Guild needs players to prove they have what it takes to track down and deal with these dangerous creatures.

Once they have access to High Rank content, players can head for the Frost Islands area, where they can get Gracium Ore from white and blue mining outcrops. Blue mining outcrops have a small chance of dropping the resource, but the chances get much better at white mining outcrops. Players can check the locations of these outcrops by holding the minus button to bring up the map, then hitting the X button to see a list of resources. The Materials 2 tab will show the locations of all the blue and white mining outcrops in the level, making them easy to locate.

Gracium Ore is needed to make some of the best armor and weapons in the game, so players will want to farm as much as they can. Expedition Tours can be a fantastic way to farm resources, and they can be launched from the Village Quest vendor. They have active modifiers that can result in more resources being obtained by mining but don't have any mission that players need to finish, allowing them to leave the activity whenever they wish.

Tracking down all the resources in the game is just part of what it takes to develop an overpowered character capable of dealing with any threat in Monster Hunter Rise. For efficiency's sake, gathering resources can be combined with hunting monsters, but players should always focus on the hunt in multiplayer quests, lest their fellow hunters get left in the lurch during a tough fight.

Monster Hunter Rise is available now on Nintendo Switch, and a PC release is planned for 2022.
