Preparation is the most important step for becoming successful in Monster Hunter Rise. There are many ways that players can prepare for difficult quests, from upgrading armor to stocking useful items in the inventory. Perhaps the most important thing to do is to make sure not to leave on an empty stomach. Eating Dango grants an initial boost to health and stamina when a Monster Hunter Rise quest begins, and can provide a chance to activate powerful skills as well. That "chance" can become a guarantee by using rare Dango Tickets.
Some of the more useful Dango skills to go for are Dango Slugger for Hammer users or Dango Bombardier for Gunlance users, but these only have a 50% chance of activating. It doesn't matter what combination of Dango a player chooses for their meal, the only way to guarantee that the necessary skills will activate is by using a Dango Ticket. Some hunters will be stingy with their Dango Tickets though, since they seem to only come one or two at a time as a reward from very specific quests. In actuality, there is a very easy and accessible way to get piles of Dango Tickets in an extremely short time - without even leaving Kamura Village.
When visiting the Canteen, players can select "Motley Mix" rather than the usual "Eat a Meal" option. This is a service that the canteen provides that conveniently transforms items into more useful tools for the hunter, for a small fee. Blue Mushrooms can become Herbal Medicine, fish can be cooked into more gourmet forms, and extra monster parts can even be put to new use. Most importantly, using the Motley Mix service frequently will reward the player with Dango Tickets.
Players who want to cook up a lot of items with Motley Mix to earn many Dango Tickets will need to get their hands on an abundance of transformable items. Luckily, one such item that can be roasted is Raw Meat, and there's a near-infinite source of the stuff right nearby in Kamura Village. Rondine over in the Buddy Plaza is willing to trade Raw Meat to hunters in exchange for 60 Kamura Points. This trade option can be found under Rondine's "Exchange for Items" menu and then "Trade Goods." For those who frequently complete optional sub-quests and gather many account items, having to pay points for Raw Meat will be a tiny obstacle.
Acquiring one full stack of 99 Raw Meat from Rondine will run the player 5,940 points. That stack of Raw Meat can be instantly converted into Well-Done Steaks with Motley Mix at the Canteen. After that, Yomogi will want to speak to the player to thank them with a gift of 44-45 Dango Tickets. Going into a hunt without a full array of Dango skills will be a thing of the past.
There are a number of rare items that Monster Hunter Rise players strive to get their hands on to enhance their slaying abilities. Coincidentally, it always seems to be tickets that are most elusive. Knowledgeable hunters who fill their item box with these valuable materials will always be ready for whatever monsters await in the wild.
