Capcom announced on Twitter that the company will be hosting a Monster Hunter Rise gameplay showcase presentation later today on Twitch at 3:30 pm PST / 6:30 pm EST. The presentation will also include some popular streamers and content creators who will be most likely participating in one of the game's monster hunts online with four-player co-op play.

The exclusive look at Monster Hunter Rise later today will feature AdmiralBahroo, Maximilian_DOOD, Dansgaming, and Matimi0. This showcase comes shortly after a Monster Hunter Rise digital event that occurred this morning and showed off several new features coming to the action-RPG, such as a mechanic that allows players to ride on top of monsters and control them during combat. Hunters can use this ability to get out of a sticky situation in Monster Hunter Rise and it'll be worth using since the series is known to be a tad bit difficult, especially for series newcomers.

During the presentation earlier today, Capcom also announced that Monster Hunter Rise's demo would be available on the Nintendo Switch eShop on January 8. Monster Hunter fans can try out the demo until February 1, 2021.

The playable demo will have two monster hunts and two training courses; the latter will show players how to use the new Wyvern Riding mechanic and a tutorial on the game's base mechanics. As for the former, there will be a beginner and an intermediate hunt.

The beginner hunt will throw players into a quest to hunt down a Great Izuchi, and the other will give hunters a tase of Mizutsune, one of the returning monsters. It's also worth noting that all 14 weapon types will be able to be tried out, and both of the aforementioned quests can be played single-player or with friends locally or online.

Hunters will also be able to bring along a Palamute and/or Palico on their quests to get some combat support from their Buddies. Palico's have been around for a long time in the Monster Hunter franchise, but this is the first time that fans will be able to ride Palamutes, which are essentially just adorable dogs. Hunters can use them to reach monsters more quickly and can even use items atop of them, such as a potion or a whetstone for sharpening their weapons.

Monster Hunter Rise is shaping up to be one of the biggest Nintendo Switch titles of 2021 and will most certainly offer fans of the franchise a unique hunting experience.

Monster Hunter Rise launches March 26 for the Nintendo Switch.
