A new mechanic to the long running series, Switch Skills are a great addition for those who like to keep their options open in battle. This new feature offers a different look, and replaces some of the moves that players might not find as useful.

10 Melody Mode: Echo
This switch skill is a specialized move that players will have to get used to. They can't just grip it and rip it for some easy damage. Echo will let the player stockpile notes, hoarding them for later use. Not only does it drop the need for a specific note, it can apply buffs along the way.

9 Metsu Shoryugeki

8 Compressed Finishing Charge
Many players don't choose this switch because of its low instant damage, but that's a mistake. This move won't use up any resources or take a long time to build up to. Furthermore, it doesn't put players in a terrible position if they miss.
Taking an unbreakable stance, the character will release an elemental attack. There's no need to wait for an extended recharge, and it's easily strung into a combo. This makes it more convenient than a lot of other popular switches.
7 Spirit Reckoning Combo

While it doesn't have the flash of some other moves, Dash Breaker is an important switch that lets the player set up any number of great attacks. It will prevent players from being pushed back. This can help them move freely around the battlefield, without worrying about interruption.

4 Drawn Double Slash

2 Soaring Wyvern Blade
This switch skill is a nasty move that has the potential for devastating damage, rising up from the floor with a powerful slash. It will take the enemy by surprise, giving players the chance to perform a forward slash mid-air and inflicting blast damage when it hits.

1 Feral Demon Mode
Taking an already impressive power buff and pushing it to its limits, the character becomes an all-out offensive powerhouse that even deals damage with their dodge. It comes in useful when the player is in a dire situation and needs to take out the enemy quickly.
Using Feral Demon Mode at the beginning of a difficult battle is a great way to get a head start on the enemy. If players can squeeze enough damage in, they might end the fight altogether without having to use their normal form.
