With the release of Capcom's Monster Hunter Rise just a few months away, the development team has been teasing fans with more in-game footage of new and returning monsters. Just a while back, a short clip from the game's official Japanese Twitter confirmed the return of the Khezu and now, a new social media post puts the spotlight on another returning monster, the Arzuros.

The Arzuros was first teased in the video trailer released during The Game Awards 2020. However, fans were not sure of it at first. Revealed very briefly, the shadow of a monster that resembled the Arzuros's shape was shown as being part of the ominous in-game event called "The Rampage." But fans were able to confirm that it really was the Arzuros later on in the video. This was when Monster Hunter Rise's flagship monster, the Magnamalo, walked out of the darkness and revealed the Arzuros lying limply in its mouth.

The video shared by the official Japanese Twitter account is the first it has uploaded that really put a focus on the monster, its physical form, and some of its combat moves. With short shots focusing on the Arzuros's iconic features such as its iconic blue fur, paws, tongue, and shelled back, hunters are given a preview of how the Fanged Beast is truly part of the ecology of Kamura Village and its surrounding areas.

The post's caption also provided a snippet of what to expect when hunting an Arzuros in Monster Hunter Rise. With its territory being mostly mountains and forests, the monster can be seen roaming around looking for its favorite honey or fishing in the local rivers for its next meal. The caption also warns future hunters of the Arzuros's iconic movements, favoring standing on its two hind legs to use its sharp claws and well-developed shelled back that can be very dangerous in battle. These movements can be seen in the video as the Arzuros attacks the hunter with its front paws and body checks him with its tough back.

The Japanese Twitter account has uploaded videos featuring the game's monsters, including the new Great Wroggi and the returning Royal Ludroth. But none have put the spotlight on these monsters the same way that was done with the Arzuros. With the release date fast approaching, fans can hope to see more of these monster features as the developers themselves have promised more Monster Hunter Rise announcements, according to their New Year's greetings video.

Monster Hunter Rise will be released on March 26, 2021 for the Nintendo Switch.
