Last week, Microsoft and Capcom teased a big announcement schedule to hit the following Tuesday (which is today) and we have our announcement. Monster Hunter: Frontier, an MMO previously released on the PC, will be coming to Xbox 360!

Although the chance of the title finding its way to the North America market may be slim – some chance is definitely better than nothing. I mean, we didn’t think we would ever see Tatsunoko vs. Capcom here either!

Check out the awesome trailer for Monster Hunter: Frontier after the jump:

Along with the spiffy new trailer we received further details from Famitsu (via Siliconera). The MMO will feature “Hunter Life Course Coupons” that must be purchased each month. These coupons will sell for about $15, but will also include 1 month of Xbox Live on top of the 30-day Monster Hunter: Frontier subscription.

An official Monster Hunter Frontier website launched today with the promise of an update on February 1st.

The servers for the 360 version of MHF will remain separate from its PC counter part, but Capcom hopes to be able to merge the two at some point within the game’s life cycle.

Monster Hunter Frontier is due out in Japan sometime this Summer, and hopefully those of us in North America will be able to join in on the monster hunting action sometime down the road!

What do you think of the prospect of Monster Hunter: Frontier on the Xbox 360? Think there’s any chance we’ll see it in North America?
