It's official. Infinity Ward has officially announced the date and start time for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 4. And as it so happens, fans of the popular first-person shooter games will be able to enjoy the new Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 4 content later tonight - assuming their internet is fast enough to download the update in a timely manner.

As confirmed by Infinity Ward on Twitter, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 4 release date is today, June 10, and it will go live at 11pm PT. Infinity Ward has yet to reveal any of the new Season 4 content that Call of Duty fans can expect to see in Modern Warfare and Warzone, but it seems likely that some more information will be released prior to the update going live.

At the time of this writing, the only thing confirmed for Modern Warfare Season 4 is Captain Price as a playable operator. However, it will likely also include new weapons, a brand new Battle Pass, plenty of new cosmetic content, and some new maps for the standard multiplayer mode as well. Many fans are anticipating changes to the Warzone battle royale map as well, but that remains to be seen.

Infinity Ward also hasn't revealed the file sizes for the new Modern Warfare Season 4 update. However, a previous leak may give fans a pretty good idea. Mere hours before Infinity Ward made the official Modern Warfare Season 4 announcement, the start time was leaked, along with the update file sizes.

This has yet to be confirmed, but apparently the Modern Warfare Season 4 update is 34.7GB on PS4, 48.9GB on Xbox One, 44.3GB on PC for the free version of Warzone, and 49.7GB on PC for those with the full game. This is pretty much par for the course when it comes to Modern Warfare seasonal updates, though it will likely upset fans who are increasingly unhappy with how much storage space the game is taking up.

An official confirmation on the Modern Warfare Season 4 update file size may not come until the season itself goes live later tonight. It's also possible that the new Season 4 content will be kept secret until then as well, but fans should keep an eye out.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
