Call of Duty: Modern Warfare released with a promise of realism and quality that many fans have grown to love. From the accurate depiction of guns to explosive and intense action, fans count Modern Warfare as one of the most realistic shooters on the market.

This group of dedicated Modern Warfare fans took to their favorite airsoft range and kitted up with in-game style gear. As they start the "round," they move the camera to a first-person bodycam perspective and added an in-game themed overlay to the video. This gives a good count of not only remaining targets, but also helped add to the authenticity of the entire experience. Navigating the map, they shot down varying targets placed around the court rather than firing on live targets. This was most likely for safety reasons, but it still gave the impression of an in-game Gunfight match.

While this does not strictly follow the Gunfight rule system, it does give the impression of an in-game match. The varying operators in the video maneuver professionally, although their weapons do lack proper recoil due to being airsoft guns. The gear and general authenticity of the entire match gives a really neat impression to both airsoft and Modern Warfare fans.

At the beginning of each clip, the operator reloads and showcases all of their gear. Similar to a pre-game lobby, fans get an almost automatic response to each section furthering the video game aesthetic of the video. It would be slightly more interesting for some fans if the airsoft team did fire and compete, but there is a certain aura of professionalism that follows their target shooting encounter.

Aside from professionalism and clean video editing, this video shows dedication to detail. Each member of the team is using different styles of gear in their loadouts giving the personalized touch that a Gunfight would provide. It would be interesting to see this airsoft team try to recreate other game modes or styles, but the practicality of a larger scale map might not be possible due to the location they chose. Despite the limitations, this team has done great work with what they have and shown their love for the Call of Duty franchise.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
