Call of Duty: Modern Warfare puts a lot of attention to its details. From the weapons to environments, the game takes special care to make sure that everything models are as detailed as possible, even for content that isn't realistic. Still, in a quest for Modern Warfare realism, small details can often fall through the cracks.

In this case, a fan noticed a slight problem between a character's bio and their in-game model. Although it is not a game-breaking issue for Modern Warfare, it still is annoying enough for some fans to be worth more investigation. This is not the first time that an inaccurate uniform detail has been noticed, but it is significant enough of a detail that it raises a few eyebrows.

In the new Season 6 Operator Nikolai's bio it is listed that his blood type is AB+. It is normal for soldiers that are deployed to have their blood types and other medical information available on their uniform for quick reference. This can often save a soldier's life in a critical situation, as battlefield blood-transfusions happen often enough.

In Nikolai's legendary skin Carcajou, he is seen wearing a military helmet. On the side is listed the phrase "O POS" which stands for O Positive. This should match the soldier's blood type as a battlefield medic would look towards the helmet to determine which blood should be used. Considering that Nikolai is AB+ instead of O+, a transfusion could risk medical complications due to the improper labeling of his helmet.

Nikolai is not the first operator to have mislabeled gear. Roze used to, before it was fixed, have four different blood types listed from her bio, in-game model, cinematic model, and operator art. Each of the character interpretations listed a different blood type on her gear and fans did notice.

While some fans consider this an inside joke, others believe that it is simply due to the recycling of model assets. Modern Warfare has so many different models that it is possible it's simply recycled a helmet from a previous character.

Others have a theory that it could be like that on purpose. Maybe the helmet is not Nikolai's, or it could be that he changed it on purpose. There is no telling exactly why the helmet is mislabeled, but it does break the aura of realism that many fans have when playing in Modern Warfare's intense game modes.
