Player’s are gearing up for all the new content coming to Modern Warfare in Season 5 by playing multiplayer, and the community is abuzz on social media platforms like Twitter and Reddit. Many Modern Warfare players will likely know that the game allows players to perform certain finishing moves on other players during a match. Players can perform finishing moves in Modern Warfare by sneaking up behind an enemy and holding down the melee button. However, finishing moves, despite going into an elaborate animation, can still be interrupted by nearly any and all outside factors during a given match.

This brings up the topic that one Reddit user by the name of jamesdel34 posted to the official Modern Warfare subreddit. The post titled “I’m not mad, just disappointed” showcases what could have been a satisfying final killcam showcasing the post author’s finishing move as the final kill. Unfortunately, instead of the player getting saved from the assassination, a teammate comes in and steals the final kill by shooting the enemy during the finishing move animation.

The match ends instead with the other player who stole the kill interrupting the finishing move mid-animation and snagging the game-winning kill. While the video is indeed hilarious, it’s always frustrating to have an amazing final killcam stolen by another player. Modern Warfare killcams have been updated and changed over time, but killcams, in general, have been a mainstay of the franchise for a very long time. Needless to say, few things are more satisfying than earning the final kill of the game, and knowing that every other player in the match is seeing that same kill at the end of the match.

The posts author clarified in the replies below the thread that, while they were mad at first, they ended up laughing at the situation after seeing their finishing move in the final killcam after all. Reddit has actually been a huge boon for the community and development team of Modern Warfare, with many members of the development team actively engaging with player feedback on the platform. Players often voice their opinions on necessary changes they feel the game needs, like the popular call for buffing support helos killstreak.
