New game modes rotate in and out of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare with every patch. This rotation is determined by fan requests mixed with the best modes to showcase items and weapons. Modern Warfare's ever-changing playlist selection is one of the fan-favorite features built into the title.

In the last update, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare introduced a Bare Bones Moshpit to fans allowing players a chance to show their skills on a variety of maps. This moshpit is a great opportunity for players to learn new weapons on a balanced playing field.

In Bare Bones, players have a chance to take on opponents in their favorite game modes without worrying about killstreaks, field upgrades or perks. All players have is their weapon, secondary, tactical, lethal, and skills. Rather than worrying about UAVs and Helicopters, players can instead focus on blasting their enemies away with precision and skill. Bare Bones is an excellent opportunity for fans to take advantage of the new Season 5 weapons and experiment with them on a simpler field of battle.

This is not the first time that Bare Bones has appeared in the multiplayer playlist selections. The main difference this time is the variety of maps mixed with the new weapons from Season 4 and Season 5. A change in strategy can be a welcome sight when the game begins to grow stale and repetitive.

For many Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans, the game is better without all the extra fluff. Killstreaks, field upgrades, and perks can grant unjust advantages to players and aid towards a meta-level of thinking. In Bare Bones, the Call of Duty meta becomes secondary, as knowing the weapons themselves is more important than the overall loadout.

Depending on the map, players will have to adapt their loadout selection and tactics to fit the game's needs. Smaller maps will favor SMG and Shotgun performance while larger maps will have a better chance for Assault Rifle and Sniper fans. As guns are the primary concern of the mode it will become essential that fans know the full capabilities of their favorite weapons.

Don't get caught off guard as even without the extra add-ons, players will still give away signs of their approach. Footsteps, doors, gunfire, and many other features are still as lively as ever allowing players to fully embrace the Call of Duty combat system in its purest form through a variety of rotating game modes.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
