So in case you guys haven’t heard, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is on its way and it’s kind of a big deal. As expected of the Call of Duty series, there’s a ton of hype surrounding the most recent addition to the series and its first ever legit competition coming from Battlefield 3. The first ever event known as Call of Duty XP offers a good indication of the hype and like most of the titles in the series, Modern Warfare 3 will make a ton of money.

But if you needed a little more incentive to join the millions of others who will inevitably be buying this, Microsoft, Sledgehammer Games and Infinity Ward teamed up to release a special edition Xbox 360 to capitalize on the game’s release.

This limited Xbox 360 variant will be customized with a Modern Warfare 3 skin on the outside and on the inside, it’ll boast a larger 320GB hard drive. The bundle comes with two customized controllers, a one month Xbox Live GOLD subscription, and a copy of Modern Warfare 3.

In addition to the goods, the system itself is customized to make special sounds from the game when first turned on or when the tray is opened. Also, some exclusive avatar items will be included that can only be acquired through purchasing this system.

Have a look at the special system for yourselves.

The console will officially launch on November 8th, 2011 in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa and will retail for approximately $399 U.S. – you can pre-order yours today. $400 is a lot of money, but if you’re a dedicated CoD player looking to join in on the Xbox 360 side of console gaming, this bundle is a strong start.

The console won’t be the only bit of Modern Warfare 3 swag being released however, as you’ll be able to buy the special controllers by themselves, which will include a token for an exclusive download from Xbox Live, for $59.99 U.S. Also, a special wireless Bluetooth headset for the game’s record-breaking, much-anticipated multiplayer will also be released, also designed with graphics pertaining to the game and another token for an Xbox Live download, for $69.99 U.S. Both items will arrive in stores October 11th.

Suffice to say, these goodies will only add to the excitement surrounding what will most likely be one of the biggest games to come out this year – even if certain people may not agree.

Modern Warfare 3 will be released on November 8th, 2011 for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. It will also release on the Wii and DS at a later date.
